Oom Tshobs, as the now late M'Afrika Tsholoba was

Oom Tshobs, as the now late M'Afrika Tsholoba was fondly known as is no more. Arrested and sentenced for his involvement in the 1962 Paarl Uprisings and served time on Robben Island in the 60s. Banished to the then Transkei following his release and later returned to teach at Mbekweni Primary school where his younger brother was Principal. He later became school Principal in Hermanus and in Khayelitsha. He self published a book titled 'In and out of Robben Island'. Another Afrika is Possible.

The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania expresses it

The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania expresses its deepest condolences to the Rammopo family on this sad occassion of the passing away of daughter of the soil Malebo Rammopo.

Having gone into exile in the early sixties as a young child, Rammopo left the country along with her family to join their father Makhudu Rammopo in Nigeria - where he had gone in exile a year earlier.

A staunch Pan Africanist Congress (PAC) cadre, Rammopo senior had been principal of Banareng Higher PrimarySchool in Atteridgeville, Pretoria.
On her return to Azania - Malebo served as Legal Clerk in the Office of Albie Sachs, a judge in the first Constitutional Court of the country. Sachs had himself returned from exile.

She had also served in the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) just before her unfortunate death.

The PAC wishes strength to the Rammopo family in these trying times, and urges you to find solace in the fact that the daughter of the soil served, suffered an sarificed.

World reggae icon Peter Tosh was on a worldwide ci

World reggae icon Peter Tosh was on a worldwide circuit tour performing in concerts spreading his popular Pan Africanist messages such as "You're an African" and "Get Up for your Rights".

He met the PAC office in Canberra, Australia, and took up membership. His next visit was Mbabane, Swaziland. Upon reaching eSwatini, he addressed the media wearing a PAC t-shirt. He knew that the message would reach occupied Azania where the PAC was then banned. Rapping razor!
